As an Export Champion, Tony participated in an online discussion with Graham Stuart, Minister for Exports.  The Minister talked positively about business starting to open up after lockdown and about ongoing establishing trade agreements with U.S., Japan and other countries.  He was incredibly practical and feels his role as Minister has changed and that he will now focus on making a real difference for businesses.  He hopes to meet with Tony and other Export Champions face to face as soon as possible and will champion their causes in Parliament. “It is too easy in Government to squabble about how to spend money rather than spend time looking at how to make the cake bigger.”  He feels that that is neither good business sense nor good political behaviour and hopes to start to change that.
